As an Animator,
I love the process of 3D modeling. I find it rather meditative in a way. The process of going from a blank viewport to a full model, to me, is quite magical. Then, bringing it to life just makes it all the more incredible. I primarily use Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine 5, Substance Painter, and Adobe After Effects.
3D modeling is a mutually abusive relationship. I put the program through a hard time and, in return, it gives me long render times. But, this is a relationship with a lot of love nonetheless. (This is also why I appreciate Unreal Engine 5's quick render times).
Along with 3D animation, I enjoy 2D animation in Adobe After Effects. The end product, if done right, is clean, smooth, and very satisfying to view.
